About The Jersey One World Group
The Jersey One World Group was launched in April 2007 as a successor to the Make Poverty History campaign of 2005, which had drawn a wide range of charities and civil organisations together to call for debt cancellation, more and better aid and trade justice. It currently represents 16 different charities and has about 60 individual members.
Aims of The Jersey One World Group
- enable people to recognise the links between their own lives and the lives of those throughout the world
- increase understanding of the economic, social, political and environmental forces that shape our lives
- develop skills, attitudes and values that enable people to work together to bring about change
- work towards a just, sustainable and peaceful world
The Jersey One World Centre is a Member of the Development Education Association and is a Registered Jersey Charity. Association of Jersey Charities Number 312. It is registered with the Jersey Financial Services Commission as NPO 0147.
