Kisumu Orphans Education Fund

It was formed in September 2007 to support the education of boys at boarding school.
These boys were met during Overseas aid trips to Kisumu in 2005 and 2006

The five remaining boys we fully educate and provide holiday accommodation for are A.I.D.S orphans we met while building a school with J.O.A. funds at Kibos Kisumu. They were street boys who came into town from outlying villages, being rejected by grandparents. Sadly one boy died from Typhoid last year. The problem lay in contaminated water and we changed schools. We are in our fifth year of supporting the boys and the committee is small, the original work team and a few friends. We need to raise about £7.000 each year to cover fees, uniform,books and school holidays .Dominican Brothers and a churchman from Kunya village are our links with the lads and weekly reports come through via e-mail.
